First Day on the Web!

Hello All!

I posted a whole bunch of stuff to help get this thing going! I think this is a great idea and a great cause! I hope you will all agree with me and start using the services of ecoReef!

I am an avid marine aquarist. Although I am minimalistic in my equipment I enjoy this hobby very much. I am also very environmentally conscious and all of my live rock is home-made and the majority of my fish are either tank bred or second hand. Many of my corals are also second hand and I hope you will enjoy my frags! This is also another way to help the reefs! So browse around and enjoy yourselves. I am looking forward to the knowledge getting up and running! It will be a huge synthesis of knowledge and an excellent resource!!

Happy reefing!

Welcoming a fellow Canadian

Hi Allison,
Thanks for the intro and the blog entry. I agree and think that eco-reef is a fantastic community for aquarists and the concept of giving back is wonderful.

As a freshwater and marine hobbyist I understand the importance of the eco-reef site and hope that other aquarist like yourself spread the word so that we can develop the world's biggest, safest online aquaria community.

It is great to see fellow Canadians here already, as we're in desperate need of a place to buy and sell aquaria livestock and accessories. Searching through classified ads across the web gets old... but eco-Reef makes it much easier and safer. Eco-reef will be a one stop shopping experience with the benefits of blogs and forum communities.

I hope to see the Canadian members grow so that we can have our own community whereby we can buy and sell amongst each other so that we can eliminate or reduce the painstaking and expensive process of having go through customs to import livestock.

Look forward to more posts from you Allison.
