Well Diego and I had a great holiday in Mexico! It was amazing to actually get out diving in warm water for once...I am used to diving in Nova Scotia where the water barely reaches 17 degrees in the summer!! Diego posted a bunch of pics and a video of our dives in the forum. To see them click here.
We have both been busy catching up on work since we got back but now it is time to get back into blogging!

I finally sold the 8 Malawi Cichlids I had for sale. I have had the majority of them for over 2 years. I got them all as little ones and watched them grow up to be mature males and females. I watched the dramas take place, the struggles for dominance and the birth of new little ones and their consumption by all the larger tank mates!
One of the fish in particular has been around a long time. He is one of the two cichlid survivors after hurricane Juan in the fall of 2003. We were without...

Hi All,
It has been a while since I have seen more than just the arms on my brittle star...so on this occasion I actually photographed it! It is getting huge! The arms are longer than a brand new unsharpened pencil!
It was previously residing behind one of my powerheads and it's arms were always on the surface presumably feeding on the layer of phytoplankton...not to mention the particles at feeding time and the meaty chunks of my homemade menu. I am delighted that...

Hi All,
We have been busy lately. Lots of socializing in the evenings!
However, I did get the chance to take a few pics of our 2 marine tanks all lit up!
The first pic shows the 50 gal we have in the bedroom. This is also the one I want to fill with stuff purchased exclusively from ecoReef...so folks start posting some frags!
Right now this tank has a pair of ocellaris clowns, a bicolour blenny, two pink bubble tip anemones, a tuxedo urchin, one...

Hi All,
I have been on a small hiatus from posting but now I am back!
I finally go around to taking some pics of some our our home aquariums. We have 3 freshwater and 2 marine.
Here is the breakdown... our 3 freshwater aquariums reside in the living room. We have a 75 gal African Cichlid Tank (see pic - our TV hides under this one...the fish are more entertaining!), a 55 gal Mixed South American planted tank (pic coming soon) and a 55 gal Oscar and...
